Taheri: If we had cut our mistakes, the result would have changed

Kiasha Taheri, player of the Golnoor basketball team, spoke about the 71-74 loss to Naft va Gaz Zagros Jonoubi Jahrom in the first week of the Premier League: when both teams are technically strong, the result comes down to details and decisive points.
One small mistake makes the difference
"In such games, a small mistake, an unnecessary foul, a missed free throw or a wasted clear scoring chance can show its effect in the final moments," he said. "If we could have reduced our mistakes, even if fixing all of them was not possible, we could have changed the result significantly."
Making it right against Kurdistan
The Golnoor player added: "We will definitely make up for this result and keep working with the continuous training Mr. Davoudi plans for us. I hope we can make up for the last game in the next match against the Kurdistan team."
Davoudi: from captain to head coach
On working with Arne Davoudi as head coach, Taheri said: "This season is his first in the head coach role; however, Mr. Davoudi has been at the top level of Iranian basketball for years and has always shone. We have had the honor of serving with him both this season and last season."
He added: "Last season, as captain and team leader, he taught me and the rest of the team a great deal; those lessons were not limited to me and the whole team benefited from his experience and guidance. This year, as coach, he naturally passes on all the notes and experience he has gained over these years. We are happy about that."
