Golnoor stood proudly in Gorgan, the war continues in Isfahan!

Despite a brilliant display and exemplary fighting spirit, Golnoor basketball team lost 78-65 to Shahrdari Gorgan in Gorgan in the second game of the Premier League basketball quarterfinals. The Golnoor players entered the court with composure and from the very beginning challenged a team with a championship pedigree.
A close battle until the final moments
In the first quarter, Golnoor had a narrow gap with its powerful opponent thanks to an offensive performance and solid defense, trailing 21-25. In the second quarter, this fighting spirit was even more evident, with Golnoor managing to take the lead from Shahrdari Gorgan at times and ending the first half with just a two-point deficit (35-37).
In the third quarter, the Golnoor players continued their efforts to stop Shahrdari Gorgan's offensive line, and the gap between the two teams remained small (49-54). However, in the final quarter, incidents occurred outside the technical flow of the game that could be interpreted as unsportsmanlike conduct. Spectators in the arena threw objects onto the court, causing a stoppage in play; a stoppage that created a golden opportunity for rest and recovery for Gorgan's aging players and changed the course of the match in favor of the home team.
The battle in Isfahan; a chance to come back
With this result, Gorgan took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series, but Golnoor is still alive and fighting for victory. The third game will be held on Friday in Isfahan, and now Golnoor has the opportunity to use home-court advantage to avenge this setback and extend the battle to a fourth game.
