Farhad Sabouri, Golnoor's star, named in the Iranian Basketball Premier League Team of the Week for Week 2

According to the public relations department of Golnoor Club, Farhad Sabouri, forward of the Golnoor Isfahan basketball team, was named in the Team of the Week for Week 2 of the Iranian Basketball Premier League and was chosen as his team's best player of the week.

According to a report by the Varzesh 3 website, the second week of the Iranian Basketball Premier League ended on Thursday with six games, after which the best performers of the week were announced. Farhad Sabouri represents Golnoor Isfahan in that line-up; he was the most effective player on the court in his team's 75-81 defeat to Pas Kurdistan.

Sabouri scored 22 points in 27 minutes and 27 seconds of playing time, shooting 6 of 7 from two-point range and 10 of 13 from the free-throw line. He drew 9 fouls from the opposition, added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks, and with an efficiency rating of 25 and a +12 plus/minus he was Golnoor's best player in week two of the league.

The Week 2 Team of the Week also includes Khashayar Aliakbari (Kale Mazandaran - guard) as Player of the Week, Ali Daryaei (Pas Kurdistan - forward), Amirali Gholizadeh (Naft va Gaz Gachsaran - forward), Farhad Sabouri (Golnoor Isfahan - forward) and Victor Arteaga (Tabiat Islamshahr - center). Saleh Makhdoomi, head coach of Kale Mazandaran, was named Coach of the Week.

It is worth noting that Kale Mazandaran, Palayesh Naft Abadan, Shahrdari Gorgan, Pas Kurdistan, Mes Rafsanjan and Tabiat Islamshahr all won their games in week two, and the Team of the Week features two players from losing teams as well - a sign of their outstanding individual performances.
