Bench, three-point line and stands: Golnoor v Esteghlal in pictures

Isfahan, Thursday 14 Aban. Forty pictures from week three of Iran's men's basketball Premier League: Golnoor Isfahan against Esteghlal Tehran, a game Esteghlal won 71-61.
The set is not only the run of play. Of the forty frames, twenty-six come from the game itself, seven are of the bench and the staff, two show the huddles at a timeout — one for each team — two are close portraits of players, two are of the crowd, and the last is a team photo. There is no frame from the locker room or from after the final buzzer.
Shots taken with a hand in the face
In eight frames the ball leaves a shooter's hand, and in most of them the defender stands close with a hand up. Golnoor's number 23 appears twice beyond the three-point line, each time with an Esteghlal defender a step away; number 8 shoots over Esteghlal's number 5, and number 11 shoots over a defender's hand in another frame.
Drives, runs with the ball and jumps at the rim
Twelve frames follow the ball towards the rim, two of them Esteghlal attacks: Golnoor's number 17 once from midcourt and once in the air at the rim with Esteghlal's number 13 chasing; number 25 finishes his move at the rim with Esteghlal's 14 behind him; number 2 is caught between numbers 32 and 13; and numbers 40, 46 and 11 appear with the ball in the new frames, including the moment number 11 reaches for the rim under the ceiling lights.
Bench, staff and crowd
Seven frames sit beside the court and in the stands: three men in light jackets on the chairs, three staff standing, three staff seated at courtside, and two frames of spectators — two young fans in the front row and four behind the courtside banners. In one frame Esteghlal's players gather around a member of their staff, with number 5 (Basir) in the middle.
The fortieth frame is the team photo: Golnoor's players in a line with the staff and club officials. All forty are in the gallery of this news item.
